BREAKFAST IN BED
MILK AND TEAS LUXURIOUS INDIAN HOCKEY PLAYERS [Per Press Association. — Covyrlght.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. “If they want a glass of milk they shout for it until they get it.” This statement, made by a member of the New Zealand Hockey Association concerning the members of the Indian'touring hockey team, seems to sum up the opinion of members of the association as to the Indians’ fondness for milk, tea and breakfasts in bed. Speakers said! they considered* that the Indians should not be allowed to indulge their fancy at the expense of the association. The discussion was provoked by a statement of accounts prepared by the Wellington Hockey Association in connection with the Indians’ visit to Wellington. The statement included items for 21 breakfasts and for morning teas and visitors. “We would not allow our own members to do this thing,” said one speaker, “and we should not allow the Indians to do it.” It was suggested that if the matter were mentioned to the Indians they would refrain from incurring large bills for extras. The chairman closed the discussion by calling for the next business on the order paper.
