GAMES AT BROADWOOD. The weather was showery for football in Broadwood on Saturday, when the local senior and junior sides played similar teams from Panguru. Results of the matches were: Panguru seniors 3, Broadwood 0; Broadwood juniors 16, Panguru 0. WHANGAROA COMPETITION. In the second round of the Whangarca Rugby knockout competition, played on the Union ground at Kaeo on Saturday, Matauri Bay beat Kaeo by 6 points to 3. Played in several inches of mud in heavy rain, the game was without excitement. The final round w.yi be played next Saturday between Matauri Bay and Apanui. The Bay of Islands and Whangaroa teams will meet in a representative match in Kaeo on July 27.
