MURDER IN FLAT
HOUSEKEEPER’S DEATH. JEWELLERY MISSING. POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECT. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, July !. Policemen and detectives throughout Britain are searching for Alan James Grierson, aged 28. The search arises out of the death of Mrs Louise Bertha Gann, 61, a housekeeper, in a flat in Regent’s Park Road, who was found with her head terribly injured I on June 22. j Grierson is described as possessing the peculiarity of never lacking a fash-ionably-cut suit. . This enables him to mix with better-class people, even when financial embarrassment necessitated him working as a builder’s labourer or driving a lorry. The son of a Southampton solicitor, Grierson is well educated. He spent several years in Australia. A quantity of jewellery is missing from Mrs * Gann’s flat.'
