WILD BOAR SHOT

TERROR IN KAITEA DISTRICT. KILLED MANY LAMBS AND DOGS. # A wild, boar which has been a terror to farmers in the Kaitea district was killed this morning. A party! consisting of the Clements Bros., Messrs W. Fyfe, A. Fletcher, J. Brock jnr. and E. K. Plaisted, were on the tracks of the beast at daylight, and eventually brought him down. He was a real old stager, with good tusks. It. is said that the boar had been killing and eating lambs for years. He has also killed numerous dogs. The stuffed boar and the two pig dogs which were on his trail this morning will be seen at the Winter Show.
