Values showed little, change generally in the principal sections of the Stortford Lodge sale yesterday, when , good entries came" forward. 1 Fat cattle ■ totalling approximately 300, met, with strong competition. Late rates were fully maintained, with an improvement recorded in some of the early lines showing. Store cattle numbered 230, and sold fairly steadily at Igte rates. Fat sheep were penned in average numbers, and prices showed practically no change on ’recent values, competition being well maintained. Store sheep met a. keen market; and values were fully firm on. last week’s rate's. All good sheep met with spirited competition, ' The sale generally - > was.most satisfactory. .. v- - ’Fat cattle: Bullocks, medium to prime*, £7 18/ to' £9 7/;, others, from - £6,10/; cows, medium to prime,. £4 17/6 to £6 10/; others, from £3 2/6; heifers, medium to prime, £5 2/6 to £7 13/; others, from £3 15/. Fat sheep: Ewes, medium to prime, 15/6 to 197; others, from 13/6; wethers, medium to prime, 21/9 to 23/6; fat lambs, 18/ to 24/2. Store sheep: Ewes, iwo-tooth, to 32/; 4-year, to 22/; wethers, to 19/; ewe hoggets, to 21/; wether hoggets, to 17/.
