Braddock for the-.world’s heavyweight championship held by the former took place this evening at the Madison Square Garden Bowl. Braddock won the title on points. ,' Baer weighed 14.13£, and Braddock, 13.9.?. ' ■' As the men entered the ring shortly ? after 10 o’clock ringside betting made the champion favourite, ranging from Bto Ito 10 to 1, and making the' most , uneven odds in the history of the' championship. The. only comparison ; ■ was Turiney’s 6' to 1 odds against ' Hecney. ’ In spite of perfect weather the attendance was disappointingly small; ; t the Bowl’s capacity (78,000) not being - half-filled.
