CARD EVENING. 1 ■ At the card evening in the school, about five tables of 500 were occupied. The prizes went to Miss W. Shodlock and Mr J. Service, and the consolations to Mrs L. Williams and Mr A, Dawson. Sad Event. It is with regret the district learns of the death of little Marin Whalavan. She had been sick for some lime, and last Saturday was removed to hospital with sleeping sickness. She lasted till Tuesday night, when she passed nwny.
