NOT TOO INSANE
INMATE MULTIPLIES MONEY. MAN WHO KILLED SOLICITOR. (Received 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, February 7. Alphonse Stephani, who died in a mental hospital for the criminally insane, to which he was committed for the murder of his solicitor, had increased his fortune of £IO,OOO to £50,000 at the time of his death by directing stock market operations from the institution. Embittered towards America, the man left a will ordering all his money to be sent to Germany, adding: “Under no consideration is any American to benefit under this will.” Deceased cousin, Baron Frederick Stephani, who was an airman during the war, and now is a screen-writer at Hollywood, claims a share in the estate.
