EMPIRE IMPORTS

BRITISH CHECK DEPLORED. 1 BENEFIT ;OF FOREIGNERS. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, February 8. Sir Frank Fox, journalist and author, formerly of Australia, in an article in the “National Review” expresses the opinion that the restriction of imports from the Empire by Britain is a revolutionary development! - “Serious effects on Empire migration, defence and investment must inevitably follow a policy which denies or limits our markets to our kindred for the benefit of the foreign nations,” says the writer. “The policy is chiefly based on safeguarding investments in foreign countries, but i must be remembered that we have many more millions invested in the Empire than in foreign countries.”
