DEFINITION OF ALIEN
IRISH FREE STATE BILL. DRASTIC CHANGE INVOLVED. (Received 1 p.m.) DUBLIN, February 7. The Aliens Bill to be introduced in the Dail, repeals the Irish application ,of the’ British Aliens Restriction Act. The bill defines an alien as a person not a vcitizen of the Free State. Aliens will be allowed the inheritance of rights but will not be allowed to own certain property, such as Irish ships. They will owe local allegiance. The Minister of Justice will control the landing and employment of aliens. The Government is empowered to exempt citizens whose countries correspondingly exempt citizens of the Free State. The Citizenship Bill, being delayed by the Senate, will operate simultaneously with the Aliens Bill.
