CHAMPIONSHIP CONCLUDED LYTTELTON VICTORY [Per Press Association. —Copyright.! CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. By winning the fifth race of the series at Lyttelton on Saturday, Lyttelton retained the Z Class Championship Cup, winch the pert crew won last year. Lyttelton won the second, third and fifth races. Parernata won the first race andi Wellington the fourth. Wellington was also placed second on three occasions.

The morning race was started on a light north-east wind and calm sea, and the race was called off at the expiration of the lime limit. At the time Parernata had a lead of a full length of the course over the next boat, Lyttelton.

The afternoon race was started in a light breeze and calm sea, but the wind freshened. Lyttelton led at the end of the first round and held its lead right through the race. Wellington likewise held second place throughout. The finishing times were; Lyttelton, 5h 8m 13s; Wellington. 5h 9m 12s; Parernata, 5h 13m 19s; Timaru, 5h 15m 9s; Otago, 5h 15m 255; Plimmerton, 5 h 17m 19s; Christchurch, 5h 18m 50s.
