Submarine Thames sustained damage when going deep under H.M.S. Royal Sovereign. The damage was confined to her periscope and standard, with no injury to the personnel.. The Thames, of 1806 tons, which was completed in June, 1932, is the largest British submarine in commission. She returned to Malta.
