This Day. i The Director-General of the Post and | Telegraph Department announced yesI terday that the revenue of the Post | Office under all headings was disclos- | ing an upward trend. While gratification was to be found in the increased business, an even greater satisfaction was to be derived from the indication the figures gave of a return to the Dominion of bettor days. For the seven months ended October 31. the revenue of the several branches was as follows, figures for the corres- ; ponding period of last year also being given for purposes of comparison:— 1934 1933 Postages .... £646.126 £643.172 Telegraph ... £156.159 £149,640 Tolls £244.312 £225.451 Telephones .. £713.004 £690.965 Net Revenue £1.921,263 £1.821.689 Net Expenditure £1,546,097 £1.469,850
