EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS

ENVOYS FROM NEW ZEALAND. (Received 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, November 28. Two ships from New Zealand, the Wanganella and the Marama, and one from Britain arrived today carrying a vanguard of archbishops and bishops, priests and laymen for the Melbourne Eucharistic Congress. The principal New Zealanders were Bishop Liston, of Auckland, Bishop Brodie, of Christchurch, Fathers J. L. Kennedy and J. Long, and Dr. L. T. Buxton. Among the New Zealand laymen is Mr P. J. Amondeo, of Christchurch, The Maheno is due on Friday, bringing many more. The great Eucharistic procession, about which there has been much conti*oversy, takes place on Sunday, December 9. the opening day of the Congress. About 40,000 are expected to take part in the march.
