STEERING GEAR LOCKED
CAR’S IMPACT WITH POLE. OCCUPANT BADLY HURT. [Per Press Association. — Copyright. ] GISBORNE, This Day. Due to the steering gear locking, a car driven by Mr D. G. Robertson, fields inspector of the Lands Department, crashed into a telegraph pole in Ormond Road yesterday, and Mr J. W. Pearce, one of the six occupants of the car, was seriously injured about the head. The others sustained minor injuries.
