COSTUMES IN FAVOUR. THE THREAT OF RAIN. * With the wind in the wrong quarter, ah‘d a possibility that rain might have come before the end of the day, a large number of the -ladies who attended on the' first day of'the Whangarei Racing Club’s meeting'at Kensington Park on Thursday, favoured costumes.
