FRONT FORK SNAPS

MAN AND WOMAN INJURED

[Per Press Association. — Copyright.) TAUMARUNUI, This Day. As a result of the front forks of their motor cycle breaking on a steep incline yesterday, Mr Edward John Tressider, and Miss Bessie Gadsby, both of Masterton, were thrown and rendered unconscious. The accident occurred about a mile from Taumarunui, when they were proceeding to Nihoniho to visit relatives.

Miss Gadsby was thrown over the front of the cycle, and fell on her head. The impact was minimised, however, by a. helmet she was wearing. They were both picked up by motorists who were following them, and Mr Tressider soon regained consciousness.

They were taken to hospital, and last evening Miss Gadsby was still unconscious. Mr Tressider is suffering from shock and abrasions.
