COUNTY ADMINISTRATION

INVESTIGATION COMMITTEE'S

REPORT.

DISCUSSION IN COMMITTEE,

The Press were asked to retire by the Whangarei County, Council today, when the report of the special committee set up to investigate administration was presented.

“As the staff, myself and others are involved, I think it would be better to hold the discussion in committee, to enable more freedom of speech,” said the chairman, Mr L.. Webb. “Subsequently a public statement may bd issued.”

When approached at the termination of the meeting, Mr Webb said that reorganisation had been left in the hands of himself and the clerk.
