SCHOOL AFFAIRS
GROWTH OF BROADWOOD. The Broadwood School is increasing. More desks have to be procured for seating accommodation. The carpenters have commenced repairs to the school and the erection of a woodshed. The proficiency exams commence at the Paponga School on Thursday. The committee of the Te Karae Mill School has decided to ask the Education Board to keep the school open. The attendance has fallen so low it was thought the school might be closed down.
