ANTARCTIC SURVEYS
TREK PARTIES CONTINUE. ONE AT EDSEL FORD RANGE. DAILY WEATHER REPORTS.: (Received 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 5. Advice from Little America states that Mr Paul Siple has informed those at the base camp that his sledging party has reached Mt. Grace. McKinley in the Edsel Ford Range. They are commencing an investigation of an unexplored area. They will send daily weather reports to Rear-Admiral Byrd preparatory to his aerial reconnaissance flight over the area and beyond, which be will make to further the survey work started by the first expedition on.the Ross Ice Barrier far to the southward. The two tractor parties appear to have extricated themselves from the crevassed area after a retreat northward, and now are progressing in an easterly direction around the ere-, vasses. :
