CHILLED EGGS
MARKING RESENTED. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON. November 6. At a hearing of the Egg and Poultry Reorganisation Commission, evidence was given on behalf of all the British Dominions against tbe suggested marking pf imported eggs as “chilled.” The opinion was expressed that the word unjustly implied inferiority, and also disfigured the eggs, resulting in depreciation of prices. Mr S; C. Manhire represented New Zealand at the commission, and opposed the marking proposals.
