TAKAHUE TOURNAMENT. i .. ■ .. ; The Taware Ping Pong Club from Pamapuria held a tournament in the Takahue Hall on Friday evening. The tourney was an open one, the men playing for the Taware Cup and the ladies for a trophy.- •. Following were 'the results: — Men: First round.—A. Rogers beat A Wilson; M. Howell beat White; N. Howell beat N. Rogers; P. Wallace beat J. Job; G. Wallace beat W. Job. Semi-final.—P. Wallace beat S. lace; M, Howell, a bye. ; Final.—M, Howell beat P. Wallace. LadieS: First . round.—E. Latimer, on behalf of the Taware Club,, presented the cup to Mr M. Howell, of Takahue; Mr N. Rogers has won the 'cup ori the two previous occasions. Miss E. Rogers received the trophy as winner of the ladies’ tournament. The rest of the . evening' was spent , in dancing, music being supplied by Messrs Cameron and D. Murray.
