I Judgment in an involved land deal case between Douglas George Wright and Hugh Black, farmers, plaintiffs, and the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op-erative Association (Canterbury), Ltd., defendants, was given by Mr. Justice Johnston in the Supreme Court yesterday morning. Plaintiffs’ claims, which related to the alleged wrongful and negligent sale of farm properties and to credits allegedly due, involved amounts totalling about £13,000. Defendant I company counter-claimed £11,816, stated to be due under a guarantee, interest thereon, and £2234 and interest, the balance alleged to be due under a current account. His Honour gave judgment for defendant company. Costs were allowed amounting to £3OO with hearing fees, witnesses’ expenses and disbursements, which bring the total costs to £4OO.
