DUKE OF GLOUCESTER
LONG RAILWAY JOURNEY. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN WELCOME. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received 9 a.m.) ADELAIDE, October 11. The Duke of Gloucester, after two days in a trans-Continental train and four days of continuous travelling, reached Port Augusta today. This is the terminus of the Commonwealth railway line. His Royal Highness was cordially welcomed by Mr'R. L. Butler, Premier of South Australia, and other prominent citizens. Tomorrow he will make his official entry into Adelaide, and will attend the Royal Show in the, afternoon. \ The Duke will spend tonight on the | train at Tralee. During his long railway journey across the Nullabour Plains he received hearty cheers at wayside stations, chatted with railway workers and distributed sweets among school children.
