TALLOW SALES
LONDON OFFERING. LONDON, October 10. At the London tallow sales 740 casks were offered and 599 sold. Values generally were 6d dearer. Quotations: Mutton, fine, 22/6 per cwt; medium, 19/6; beef, fine, 22/6; medium, 19/. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office, under date of 10th inst.— . Tallow.—There is a good demand. Current quotations: Good mutton, 21/ to 21/6 per cwt; good beef, 20/6 to 21/; good mixed, 20/6 to 21/; gut, 16/6 to 18/6. Stock Position. Tallow statistics at the end of September, compared with previous months, were.— May June July Aug. Sept.
