OTAIKA VALLEY

CREAM CARTING. The tender forwarded by Mr G. Edge, jun., for the daily collection of cream on the Otaika Valley route, has been accepted by the Whangarei Dairy Company. Mr Edge has, for a number of years, collected the cream on this route, and he commenced on Monday (September 17) to make the daily collection. Bridge Construction. Work has commenced on the construction of a traffic bridge across the Otaika Valley creek, to give access to the property of Mr G. Gunson, from the Valley road. Although the equipment' and timber was at the scene of operations several weeks ago, owing to the high floods experienced during the winter, work has been delayed.
