PROVINCIAL VALUES (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. A heavy yarding of fat pigs was penned, and sold under strong competition, at prices in advance of all Waikato sales, at Waihou on Friday, reports the Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd. The top price of £4 was secured for a pen of six prime baconers sold on account of Mr. F. Handley, of Paeroa, A medium yarding of store and weaner pigs came forward and sold at late rates. Values were: —Prime heavy baconers, 76/ to 80/; medium, 65/ to 73/; light, 50/ to 60/; heavy porkers, 42/ to 47/; medium, 38/ to 40/; light, 30/ to 35/; good Tamworth Stores, 27/6 to 31/; Berkshire stores, 23/ to 25/6; good slips, 22/ to 23/; choice Tamworth cross weaners, 17/6 io 21/; other weaners, 9/ to 15/.

Pigs were yarded in average numbers at Morrinsville on Friday, the bidding being keen for all of good quality. Prices were:—Mediumweight and quality baconers, 59/; porkers, 32/ to 34/; lightweight and quality porkers, 29/ to 31/; good quality large stores, 26/ to 28/6j_ medium, 23/ to 25/; small stores, 19/ to 21/; other stores, 14/ to 18/; good quality slips, 16/ to 17/6; medium, 14/ to 15/6; others, to 14/6; good quality weaners, 13/ to 15/6; medium, 11/ to 14/; others, 7/ to 11/? good quality Berkshire sows, to farrow, 70/. The yarding of pigs at Ohaupo on Friday sold at advanced prices, reports Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd.
