SUDDEN DEATH

YOUNG MARRIED WOMAN COLLAPSED AT WAIMATE NORTH A young married lady, Mrs. Mamie Cook, aged 21. who lived at Waimate North, collapsed at her home yesterday. She was taken to the Kawakawa Hospital, but died before reaching there. Mrs.-Cook, who was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Bedggood, was one of the most popular girls in the district. She had only been married a year. As a mark of respect, no sports of any kind were held in the district today, and the Waimate North Golf Club postponed the competition for the Northland Cup.
