SEQUEL TO MISHAP. DAMAGES CLAIMED. . (Per Press Association.—Conyriaht.} WELLINGTON, This Day. A claim for £MOOO general damages and £l7o special damages Avas made in Die Supremo Opart yesterday by William Harvey Pickards, a motor driver, of Dannevirke, against David, Kilpatrick, Avool-elassor, of Kaiwafra, sued in his capacity as the registered owner of a motor cycle, and 'Charles Leslie Turner, wool-classer, of Kaiwarra. The ease avus heard before Sir Michael Myers and a jury. It arose out of an accident at Heretnnnga on April 17, as a result of which plaintiff suffeied injuries AVdiich, owing to gangrene, necessitated the amputation of a leg.

Plaintiff alleged that the accident was due to the negligent management of Kilpatrick’s motor cycle, and that at the time it ,was being ridden by Turner.

The defence Avas a. denial of negligence and also contributory negligence, The hearing Avas not concluded.
