KAIKOHE WATER
FINANCE FOR SCHEME.
BOARD MAKES ARRANGEMENTS,
At a special meeting of the Kaikohe Town Board, finality was reached on the financial side of the proposed water supply scheme for the town. The ,arrangements made are subject to the approval of the Local Bodies Loans Board.
The board decided to accept a .price for the complete installation of the scheme. The price is well within the original estimate. The basis of the proposed arrangement is a loan carrying interest at 3 2-.') per cent., with a sinking fund of l. : { per cent. The payment of the interest and sinking fund was arranged favourably to the board. No payment is to be made until the scheme is in operation.
It is expected that, weather conditions being favourable, Kaikohe will have a water supply before Christmas.
