RECORD GLIDING
DISTANCE AND HEIGHT. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 5. Mr G, Collins achieved a record gliding flight of 05 miles at a height of 4000 feet during a period of 34 hours at Holkham Bay. He’ twice looped the loop before landing, on the beach. Mr P. Wills, at the national gliding meeting ' at .Sutton. Bank, at tainod a record altitude of 5100 feet above the starting point.
