Local sales were 15 tons 10 cav! 2 qrs 23 lbs, averaging 10.8 d per lb. 25 tons 10 caaT were in. store at Auckland at time of balancing, and this has also been estimated to realise 75/ per cwt London. 808 lbs wore on hand at the factory and this has been valued at 8-|d per lb. The sum of £1072 6/2 Avas paid ns a premium for finest grade cream, compared with £875 15/8 for the previous season.
j Cream received showed the following grades: Finest 63.0 per cent, first 33 per cent, second 3.1 per cent. Butter grades Avere: Finest 76.3 per cent, first 20.4 per cent, second 3.3 per cent. The suppliers’ stores account has been debited Avith £SO for rebates due to suppliers, £7O of salary, £SO of Avages and £32 9/8 of interest. The balance in the profit and loss appropriation account is £24.80 4/7. A dividend of 4 per cent on fully paid shares is recommended. Mr H. A. Rawle Avas appointed factory manager and commenced his duties on June 1, Mr Grant having left at the end of the year. The new factory building is expected to be completed about the end of the month and it. is hoped that the change over may be effected during August. The annual summary slioavs the cost of cream carting per lb of butterfat to 'have been ,61d, and the cost, of manufacture .56d. The number of suppliers was 235.
