VALUES AT TE PUKE. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) TE PUKE, This Day. A successful horse fair was held on Friday by the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., Ltd. Twenty unbroken and 75 broken horses were offered. The quality was not outstanding, but a keen demand was shown, and there was practically a complete clearance under the hammer. Unbroken two and three-year-old light draughts and half draughts made lo £26 10; broken draughts, to £25; hacks and harness horses, £4 to £l2; ponies, £2 to £-1 10/. Buyers were present from Auckland and the Waikato.
