FAREWELL TO MR AND MRS • KING. ’ On Wednesday, a. farewell evening j was given to Mr and Mrs G. King and | family, who have resided in Kohnkohu j for the past ten years. Mr A. A. Pot- j ter, on behalf of the Town Board, of j which Mr King was chairman, and on ! behalf of the people present thanked j Mr and Mrs King and family for all | limy had done for Kohnkohu. j Mr King has for the past ten years j owned the Kohnkohu mill and has \ always taken keen interest in the affairs of the township. Mr W. Allen, who is taking over the managership of the mill, was welcomed. The employees of the mill presented i Mr King with a silver teapot. | Mrs Mail, on Tuesday evening, gave a bridge party at her home for Mr. and Mrs King and family and a pleasant evening was spent, Miss 8. King winning the prize. PERSONAL. .Mrs Tom Nash, of Paponga, is making a speedy recovery after a successful ! operation. Miss E. McDonald, assistant teacher ! of the Kohnkohu School, has returned ! to resume duty after having spent the j vacation with her parents in Auck- j land. | Mrs H. Young and Mrs H. Gabolin- j scy, who represented the Koliukolm branch of the Women’s Institute at Whangarci, have returned home. Mr and Mrs Leo Keys have returned to Kohnkohu ■ after their annual holiday. BOY SCOUTS. The Koliukolm Boy Scouts celebrated their ,°»rd birthday and entertained the Kohnkohu Girl Guides at the Scout Master’s house.
