SAPPHIRE SUSPECTED HINDUS’ AMAZING ILL-LUCK. f.\rsee breaks the spell (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copy rignt.) (Received Id a.m.) CALCUTTA, May 2d. A chain of mishaps among well-to-do Hindu residents of Xaghpnr is ascribed to the evil influence of a bcanlifill sapphire. The sapphire was given lo a Naghpur merchant who, within three days, lost business orders worth several thousand rupees, and was involved in a car accident. He gave the stone to a. lawyer, who, within twelve hours, was knocked down by a ear. It was then given to another lawyer, whose wife died anddenly. The sapphire was left in the custody of a cook, who was severely burned when, the kitchen caught tire. Two hours later it was again given away, and the recipient was thrown from a motor cycle when talcing it home. 'Phe sapphire is now - in possession of a Parsec woman, and it is believed that the evil intlueuce has been broken now it is not in Hie bands of a Hindu,
