ILL-FATED SATOH
IMPRESSIVE SERVICE. (Received 9 a.m.) . TOKIO, May 6. As a memorial to the late Jiro Bejtoli, formerly captain, of. Japan’s Davis Cup team, a very impressive service was held on the Waseda University courts. His black draped racquet and photograph were placed in the centre of an altar flanked by his personal belongings, prizes and other mementos. The priests, clad in purple, .scarlet and white robes, chanted solemn Buddhist rites. Batch’s comrades addressed the gathering.
