ACCOUNTS READJUSTMENT HAWKE’S BAY BEQUEST (Pov Props Association. —Copyright.1 HASTINGS, This Hay, The readjustment ot ! North and South Island electric power supply accounts, so as to run the MangahaoWaikaromoana and Lake Coleridge schemes through one account, is desired by the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board, as the board considers this would have the effect of reducing charges for supply in the North Island. The secretary, Mr IT. H. Wylie, informed the board today that the Mangahao scheme hail an accumulated loss of £.">00,000, whereas the Coleridge scheme showed an accumulated profit of approximately £200,000. He had been informed by the Chief Electrical Engineer of the Public. Works Department, Mr P. T. M, Kissel, that a proposal was to be submitted to Parliament to make a general amalgamation of the scheme. Mr S. Ashcroft said the board would look for no reduction in the accounts until the losses of Mangahao and Waikaromoana were made up. The board finally decided that the matter be taken up by the secretary with the Minister of Public Works,
