SILVER PRICE INCREASED. , (Received 1 pdn.) ■ V ' WASHINGTON, Match 19, The tariff issue, long .a . %dge of political faith in -the, United States, was brought to the fore'today by a Republican minority report” to tho House of Representatives, characterising the Administration’s reciprocal tariff proposals as “unconstitutional.’’ The report also charged that the plan would delegate to the President, rather than to Congress, discretionary, legislative power in the making of tariffs.
The United States House of Representatives today passed a bill-for the purchase of silver abroad at- 25 per cent above the world, price, provided it is exchanged for American agricultural exports. .... ■
