ANNUAL PICNIC

WAX&AGB SUPPLIES STAFF. The second annual picnic - of the staff of Wallace .Supplies Ltd., Whahgarei and Hikurangi, was held oif Sunday at Matapouri. About 40 attended and spent an enjoyable day. A sports programme, was held at the conclusion of which Mr Burt presented the prizes to the respective winners. The sports events resulted as fol- ' Potato race, ladies; Doris SwizeU 3, Mavis West 2. Men: A. Angelo 1 T H. Findlay 2. Sack race, ladies:- Susie M’eHroy 1, Margaret Mclnally 2. Men; V, Dickey 3, T. Mclnally 2. Egg and spoon race, ladies: Margaret Mclnally 1,, Alice Edwards 2. Men; A. Angelo 1, V. Dickey 2. Three-legged race; Alice Edwards and D. McEwan 1, Susie Mellroy and S. Snow 2. Threadneedle race: Margaret Mclnally and Mr Harris 1, Doreen Depnigs and Mr V, Dickey 2. The challenge relay race for the banner was won by the Whangarei team, consisting of Misses Gwen "Wilson and Alice Edwards and Messrs H. Findlav and A. Angelo.
