AUCKLAND, This Day. ' Messrs ;Dalgety and Co. report that at Westfield today beef was yarded to the number of 156 head, against 204 last week. The quality was first-class, and the offering sold under keen demand at values very firm on late rates. Ejctra choice ox sold to 20/ per 100 lbs; choice and prime, 17/ to 19/; just killable, 14/ to 16/; prime young cow and heifer beef, 16/ to 19/; just killable, 12/ to ,15/; heavy prime steers, £7 to £8 15/; lighter, £5 17/6 to £7 10/; light, £5 to £6 10/; unfinished and small, £2 to £4; heavy prime cows and heifers, £4 17/6 to £5 7/6; lighter, £3 17/6 to £4 15/; other killable cows, £1 15/ to £3 7/6.
