1 (Per Press Association.— Ponyricht.) | ROTORUA, This Day. j Some very interesting- thermal ac- | tivities have been noticed round Roto- | rua during the past few days, follow- ' ing a blow-out in the lake near the Puarenga stream, which is not an unusual happening. There have been some curious occurrences in the Kurau Reserve. The big boiling pool at the base of Pukeroa Hill has reached high level, and there has been an unusual disturbance of waters in the centre. A mud geyser near the soda pool has been throwing up quite a lot of muddy water lately, and has increased its height by about. 4 feet. In other parts of the reserve there have also been evidences of increased activity. In the existing hot spring, which is (usually active, with a. big overflow, •water* suddenly stopped flowing, and ■half an hour later the spring burst out 20 feet away with a larger flow of water than ever.
