Greonwall, cabling from Japan to the “Daily Express,’’ say-: “Lancashire complains that Japan copies her designs, but does not know ■who is chiefly to blame. Lancashire sends patterns and samples to the Dominions and colonies, and the importers rush samples to Japan’and ask for copies with the best quotations.’’ Mr Green wall adds: .“I have the fullest truth .for the assertion that at the present moment there is an Australian’ in Now York picking,up samples of fancy goods, and will take them to Japan to have copies made.”
