MINING SHARES WANTED. (Special to "Northern Advocate.*’) AUCKLAND, This Day. A fair list of sales was recorded at the first call of the week and fresh bidding - disclosed a healthy tone with quotations mostly based on week-end valuations. In Government stock, there was a good demand, and a few parcels were on offer at just above market fates. In the banking section, New Zealand* continued "to firm up and had buyers at £2 10/3, with holders asking £2 11/. Mining was fairly active and Blackwaters improved. After a sale at 35/ buyers offered 35/6, but sellers had withdrawn. Consolidated Golds were in demand at IS/0 and Waihis at 30/. Nooin Call. Sales reeot-ded at the noon call were: Waihi Grand Junction, 4/0; Mt. Uyall, £1 5/6; Westport, 15/; Bank of New Zealand, £2 10/9.
