In the Legislative Council yesterday, the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loan Conversion Amendment Bill was read a second time, and referred to the Statutes Revision Committee.
, The Egmont National Park Bill was read a second time and referred to the Lands Committee.
The Scenery Preservation Amendment Bill, the Weights and Measures Bill and the Orchard Tax Amendment Bill were read a first time. The New Plymouth Air Port was put through the remaining stages and passed. \ The council rose at 3.5 p.m. until today.
