The Rev. H. T. Steele relumed by the late train yesterday from Auckland, where lie has been attending the annual Diocesan Synod.

Mr T. B. Clay, chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, was a passenger for Wellington by the express last evening. He will attend a meeting of the Harbour Boards Association, and will also give evidence before the Local Bills Committee of Parliament.

A meeting of the congregation of the Chalmers Presbyterian Chur.di, Timani, best evening unanimously decided to extend a call to the Rev. E. Llewellyn Williams, E.A., of 155th St. Presbyterian Church, New York, and formerly of London, Brighton and Liverpool.
