Gratification at. the improvement in prices in Britain was expressed by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, at a. reception accorded him and the Hon. R. Masters by the Wellington Manufacturers* Association. Mr Forbes said the most encouraging feature of the healthier trade outlook was that there had been no sudden jump, but a gradual upward trend. One was justified in the view that at last there was a little sunshine coming through the clouds.
