Personal. i With the advent of school holidays, I many parents are taking the opportunI ity of visiting Auckland. Mrs E. McConnell and two children left by Friday's express f<rr the city. Mrs A. Hayward and two daughters left today (Saturday), and Mrs Cotton and her youngest daughter hope to depart early next week. • Misses H. and M. Thomson intend motoring through to Thames. Miss J. Firman left for her home at Papakura on Friday. Social Club. A return visit to the Whangarei Table Tennis Cliib is to be paid by twenty table tennis players from the local club, early next week. Very happy evenings are spent at these matches, and although the country players are very busily engaged in milking operations, the ~ match - is being eagerly anticipated. The following players are making the trip:— Mesdames S. Ormandy, B. Finlayson, A. King, 0. Oulbransen; Misses t). Carter, E. Thomas, P. Carter and G. Finlayson; Messrs S. and W. Ormandy, S Mullins, G. Hayward, F. Carter, A. • Byles, T. Thomas, A. Hayward, F. | Thomas, P. Carter, P. McAllister and J. Carter. Hockoy. .With two matches to. play, Mangapai. are in quite a handy position in the competition. A win against Waipu would decide the matter in Mangapai's favour. This match is being played at Manga pai this week.
