- THREE DAYS’ CONFERENCE SEED CERTIFICATION : NEW OFFICIAL PERSONNEL , (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A conference of the New Zealand Grassland Association, which has been sitting for the past three days, concluded yesterday. Papers have been read by scientific experts, by farming exports, and by business men interested in the various aspects of grassland farming, and these have covered a wide field for inquiry and experiment. Among the matters discussed in the papers were the certification of seeds and the possibility of marking grass seed abroad Under certification.
Yesterday the annual meeting was held. It was decided to recommend to the Minister of Agriculture that a full investigation be made into the position of certified seeds. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. A. H. Cockayne; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. P, Connell; general committee, Professor W. Riddet, Dr. F. W. Hilgendorf, Dr. K. Askew, Messrs. P. S. Smallfield, G, A, Holmes, J. W. Hadfield, R. B. Thnnent, A. W. F. R, Callaghan, E. Bruce, Levy, arid the president and. secretary..
