SAt this morning’s call bidding was keen in the banking and insurance sections, with comparatively few sellers. New Zealand Insurances firmed up further and offers of £2 10/9 failed to bring any declaration from holders. The mining section was active and several sales of miscellaneous scrip were recorded. Waihis had buyers at £1 2/10 with no sellers. Government stocks and local body issues showed little change.
