KEEN BIDDING. ) (Special to "Northern Advocate.” - * AUCKLAND, This Day. Business on the local 'Stock Exchange has been well maintained since last report. SAt this morning’s call bidding was keen in the banking and insurance sections, with comparatively few sellers. New Zealand Insurances firmed up further and offers of £2 10/9 failed to bring any declaration from holders. The mining section was active and several sales of miscellaneous scrip were recorded. Waihis had buyers at £1 2/10 with no sellers. Government stocks and local body issues showed little change. Noon Call. -The following sales were recorded at the noon call.—Bank of New Zealand, £2 9/; Union Bank, £9 1/; Big River, 1/7; City of Auckland, 1940, 5J per cent., £100; Newmarket, 1944, 5| per cent, £lO2,
