There are some people at least who have blind faith in the success of the World Economic Conference. . ■ VcN A certain municipal committee in tfie - Punjab province, which was in a quandary how to make financial ends meat,' suddenly budgeted for an enormous anticipatory revenue. ' /' - ■'% The local Government department was greatly surprised and asked the reason for such unbounded optimism.. The reply given was: —“The Economic Conference meeting in London is bringing great prosperity to the whole, worlch and to us. Therefore our anticipations are justified.” ' - • sr’-A’s-M The Government is taking, steps' to dispel the prosperity illusion.
